A Clinical Experience with Cefnam^(®) the Orthopedic Infections

Abstract
|
|
|
In the orthopedic infections, the use of appropriately selected abliblotics is very important. Cefnam® a new broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent was adminislered to 24 patients that have various orthopedic infections including ostoomyclit is, contaminated wound, pyogenic arthritis and postoperative wound infection.
The clinical results are as follows
1. The clinical efficiency was 79.2% (19 of 24 patients).
2. The hacteriologic response rate was 79.3% (23 of 29 organisms).
3. There was no specific side effect related to Cefnam injection except mild nausea which was controlled easily.
So we consider, the Cefnam® is an effective and safe antibiotics in the treatment of orthopedic infections.
